Two vines intertwined
a verdant mesh and mangle.
Dripping dew drops
the malachite lovers entangled
in unbridled glory.
Nature holds no greater beauty.
As one viridian beast locks with another,
fairer in texture, in heart, in spirit
and clasps his myriad tendrils around her
prickling at her delicate stoma
with his proud, erect thorns.
A savagely beautiful act,
from which flowers bloom
and sweet fruits grow;
and seeds of progeny planted
make the miracle of life.
